California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Rights
Exercise your right to opt-out of data sharing
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), residents of California have specific privacy rights regarding their personal information, including the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of their personal information.
Important Notice: Fix2Pdf does not sell your personal information to third parties. However, we provide this page to comply with CCPA requirements and give you full control over your data preferences.
Under CCPA, "sale" means sharing personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This can include:
Sharing data with advertising networks for personalized ads, allowing third-party analytics services to track your behavior, or providing information to data brokers or marketing partners.
Fix2Pdf does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. All PDF processing happens directly in your browser. We do not upload, store, or share your files with anyone.
We use limited third-party services that may collect anonymous usage data:
Google Analytics analyzes website traffic to help us improve our service. Google AdSense displays advertisements when you consent. These services only load after you accept cookies through our consent banner.
To opt-out of any data sharing with third-party services, follow these steps:
Clear all cookies from Fix2Pdf in your browser. In Google Chrome, go to Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Select "Cookies and other site data". In Firefox, visit Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data. In Safari, open Preferences → Privacy → Remove All Website Data. In Microsoft Edge, navigate to Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data.
After clearing cookies, visit Fix2Pdf and refresh the page. When the cookie consent banner appears, click "Decline" to reject all non-essential cookies. This will disable analytics and advertising cookies while keeping essential functionality.
You can also block third-party cookies entirely in your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to block third-party trackers by default.
You can opt-out of specific third-party services directly:
Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This prevents your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites.
Manage your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com. You can turn off ad personalization and opt-out of interest-based advertising.
Opt out of interest-based advertising from multiple companies at optout.aboutads.info or optout.networkadvertising.org.
Beyond the right to opt-out of data sales, CCPA grants California residents several other important rights:
You have the right to know what personal data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. Contact us to request a detailed report of your data.
You can request deletion of personal data we hold about you. Since we process files client-side and don't store them, there's typically no file data to delete.
You can request correction of inaccurate personal data we may have about you.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. You will receive the same level of service regardless of your privacy choices.
To exercise any of your CCPA rights, please contact us:
"CCPA Privacy Rights Request"
Please include your full name, email address, and a description of your request (opt-out, deletion, access, etc.).
We will respond to your request within 45 days as required by CCPA. If we need more time, we will notify you and explain why.
To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. This helps ensure that your personal information is not disclosed to unauthorized parties.
We may ask you to provide additional information such as your email address, dates of service usage, or other details that only you would know. We will only use this information for verification purposes.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a CCPA request on your behalf. The authorized agent must provide written proof of authorization. We may also require you to verify your identity directly with us to prevent fraud.
We may update this CCPA notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
